ALS patients get free VIP stadium tours thanks to Kansas City nonprofit celebrating one year (kshb.com) — A Kansas City nonprofit is giving ALS patients free VIP tours of major sports stadiums, including a special anniversary visit to Arrowhead Stadium this week. Founder Amecco Watkins, inspired by his late mother, has already hosted 150 patients and just secured a local dealership sponsor, helping more Kansas City–area families enjoy uplifting outings despite the challenges of ALS.
   

5. USPS issue captures wintry escapades of squirrels and chipmunks, Sept. 25 (linns.com) — Stamp collectors in Kansas City can request first-day cancels for the new Squirrels and Chipmunks in Snow forever stamps by mailing covers to the USPS Stamp Fulfillment Services center on NE Underground Drive. The whimsical winter designs debut at a Wisconsin stamp show, and orders for special postmarks must be postmarked by January 25, 2027.
