3. One injured: Montana Highway Patrol looking for suspect after Billings hit-and-run crash (ktvq.com) — A Billings driver is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run on Broadwater Avenue early Thursday, and Montana Highway Patrol is searching for the white Dodge Ram pickup that fled. The crash followed a collision between an F-150 and a Billings Police patrol car, closing the intersection until 7 a.m. Residents with information are urged to contact Trooper Wyatt Duncan.
   

4. Montana residents demand vote on data center moratorium as Yellowstone County takes no action (thecooldown.com) — Yellowstone County leaders are facing intense pushback over a massive proposed data center complex north of Billings, with residents demanding a countywide moratorium question on November ballots. Organizers narrowly missed the citizen-initiative signature threshold amid confusion over a changed deadline, and opponents are now pressing commissioners to use their authority, consider interim zoning, or even call a special election to slow or stop the project.
   

5. Montana state officials, tribes agree to settle Indian education lawsuit (ictnews.org) — Billings parents who saw little Indian Education for All content in local schools helped drive a lawsuit that Montana officials have now agreed to settle, potentially tightening enforcement statewide. If a judge approves the deal, Indian education will be built into accreditation, monitoring, and tribal consultation, with Billings' district already reporting curriculum improvements that could expand further under the agreement.
