Local PreCheck members and other trusted travelers will need to apply online a day or more in advance, follow standard screening rules, and may face daily limits on passes.

2. Vacant downtown building racks up more than $100,000 in fines (mynews4.com) — Reno's long-vacant Sundowner Hotel tower on North Arlington Avenue has already generated $115,000 in city code enforcement fines, with nearly $10,000 still owed as officials push the owners to maintain the property. Residents are split between wanting demolition and hoping the building, compared by some to Carson City's Ormsby House, can be saved as nearby properties are redeveloped.

The new Reno-based facility will expand intensive care, cancer treatment, and behavioral health services so local families no longer need to travel to California or Utah for complex pediatric care.

4.
