The school district ballot also asks whether the school board should market and sell the former Dewey Elementary School property at 38 Liberty St., currently the central office.
The general election ballot also includes a question (HB 1300) asking voters whether property taxes should be limited for two years beyond the prior year’s amount, adjusted for inflation and new construction, and whether administration cost increases should be capped at 6 percent. Bonded capital projects are excluded from both limits. Any limits can be overridden. Sixty percent of the community must approve of the question to pass.
