4 Men, 2 Juveniles Arrested After Shooting And Riot On Sixth Street In Nashua; 1 Person Injured

NASHUA, NH — Four men and two juveniles are facing felony riot charges after a shooting on Sixth Street in Nashua on June 15.

Police were sent to the area of Fourth Street three weeks ago for a shots-fired report. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area of Sixth Street, a couple of blocks away.

Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor for the Nashua Police Department, said a spent shell casing was found in the area, and investigators were able to obtain surveillance footage of the incident.

“Detectives from the special investigations division were assigned to further the investigation,” he said. “During the investigation, it was learned that an individual involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.”

Cinelli added a vehicle and a home were also damaged by the gunfire.

“As a result of the investigation,” he said, “arrest warrants for those involved were granted.”

On June 30, Yariel Gonzalez, 20, was arrested and charged with riot, riot with a firearm, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, felonious use of a firearm, and falsifying physical evidence. Raymond Garcia Jr., 20, Jay Escobar, 19, Kyle Anctil, 18, and two juveniles were all charged with felony riot.

Anctil, Escobar, and Gonzalez were all held on preventive detention and arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 1. Garcia was released on $500 cash bail and is due back in court for arraignment on Aug. 5.

Cinelli said the department thanked the U.S. Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration for their assistance with the investigation.
