Neptune City Music School Founder Performs at MetLife Stadium Event Supporting Children with Cancer

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ — Local professional drummer and music educator Joe Nevolo recently combined his passion for performing with a meaningful charitable cause, taking the stage outside MetLife Stadium on October 18, 2026, during an event supporting The Valerie Fund.

The Valerie Fund is a New Jersey nonprofit organization that supports children with cancer and blood disorders and their families.

Nevolo, founder and director of Big Beat Music Studio in Neptune City, performed with a band at the event, including an energetic two-minute drum solo that was captured on video and later shared on social media.

The performance has received an enthusiastic response from viewers.

For Nevolo, whose professional music career spans decades, the experience was particularly meaningful.

"There's nothing quite like the excitement of performing live, but when that performance is connected to helping children and families going through difficult times, it becomes something much more special," said Nevolo.

Nevolo founded Big Beat Music Studio in 1983 and has spent more than four decades helping children and adults discover the joy of making music.

His career as a professional drummer has included recording, touring, and performing with numerous musicians and bands.

Nevolo hopes the video will not only entertain viewers but also introduce more people to the mission of The Valerie Fund.
