• Bernards Township Police Report 29 Crashes, Multiple Thefts and Scams in September (TAPinto.net) — Bernards Township police based in Basking Ridge handled 29 crashes in September and are investigating several major thefts, including stolen luxury vehicles, a $127,000 credit card scam, and $50,000 in missing gold coins and jewelry. Officers also made multiple arrests on warrants and in a stolen-car pursuit, and they're urging residents to lock vehicles, secure valuables, and verify any suspicious money requests.
   

• Judge Sends Allen Road Development Proposal Back to Bernards Zoning Board (TAPinto.net) — A court ruling has revived the controversial redevelopment plan for 150 Allen Road, sending the proposal back to the Bernards Township Zoning Board under the original 2022 zoning rules. The board will discuss the case at its Oct. 7 meeting at the municipal building on Collyer Lane in Basking Ridge, where residents can follow what happens next with this closely watched project.
