• Belleville Eminent Domain Battle Continues Over 'Great Lawn' Property (patch.com) — Belleville officials are pressing ahead with an eminent domain case over the "Great Lawn" at Belleville and Franklin avenues, with a key court hearing set for Aug. 28. The township is seeking to formally acquire 580 Belleville Avenue and 233 Franklin Avenue for public use after offering $85,000, and a Superior Court judge will now decide whether its eminent domain powers were properly exercised.
