• Changes Proposed For Upcoming Berkeley Town Center (patch.com) — Berkeley residents are being asked to weigh in on updated plans for the new Berkeley Town Center at the former Beachwood Mall site, including relocated fast-food buildings, a larger drive-thru restaurant, and more parking. The revised proposal, which still includes a supermarket and major retail space, will be reviewed by the Berkeley Township Planning Board on Oct. 15 at Town Hall.

• Ocean County Approves Nearly 90 Acres for Open Space and Farmland Preservation (lakewoodalerts.com) — Berkeley residents will see 1.22 acres near Route 9 permanently preserved, potentially linking existing local trails with the large NJ Pulverizing tract and Barnegat Branch Trail.
