Storm Parking Available For Berkeley Residents In Need

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley Township is opening temporary parking for residents who want to move vehicles to higher ground ahead of this weekend's impending nor'easter.

According to a storm parking notice, the Berkeley Township Office of Emergency Management is making parking available because of the storm and the potential for flooding in parts of the township. The notice says residents may park in the lower parking lot at Central Regional Middle School beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25.

The parking option is intended for residents who may be affected by flooding and want to relocate their vehicles before conditions worsen.

All vehicles need to be taken out of the lot by 7 a.m. Monday, according to the notice.
