Willow Springs Brings the U.K. to Brick Senior Center with Immersive Virtual Reality Platform

The Life Enrichment team at Willow Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center recently brought the United Kingdom to the Brick Senior Center with the help of its virtual reality platform by Rendever. Area seniors delighted in an afternoon of “travel,” touring centuries-old castles and towns in England, Scotland and North Wales – all without leaving Ocean County.

Music, trivia and lunch capped off the excursion. “The seniors at the Brick Senior Center loved the interactive ‘travel’ experience,” said Beth Ganley, regional director of community relations at locally based Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Willow Springs. “Willow Springs is proud to bring its innovative programming to the local community and to continue building meaningful connections.”

The event was made possible through Marquis’ partnership with immersive technology Rendever, which is available to the skilled nursing facilities and senior living communities the company supports. As part of Willow Springs’ extensive life enrichment programming, residents have the opportunity to enjoy 3D virtual reality activities, from travel, to trivia, to musical performances and more.
