• Chatham BOE to Vote on Adoption of Policies and Regulations Introduced at July 13 Meeting; Update on $54 Million Referendum (tapinto.net) — Chatham residents should know the Board of Education is set to vote on adopting a new policies and regulations manual tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Chatham Performing Arts Center, while also giving an update on a proposed $54 million capital improvement referendum planned for a January taxpayer vote.
   

• Chatham High Senior Students Alan Chen, Peter Krieg and Teesta Bhola-Shah Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (tapinto.net) — Three Chatham High School seniors, Alan Chen, Peter Krieg and Teesta Bhola-Shah, have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, placing them among the top one percent of U.S. seniors. Their recognition highlights both individual academic excellence and the strength of Chatham's school community as they move on to compete for scholarships this spring.
   

• Local Event: Feast Of St. Michael Mass and Reception (patch.com) — Residents are invited to a special Feast of St. Michael Mass and reception at St. Patrick Church and Parish Center on Chatham Street on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. The celebration will honor first responders and community protectors, with departments and individuals encouraged to RSVP online for the reception.
