Impaired Driver Kills Man In North Jersey, Officials Say
Authorities have not yet identified the victim, police said.
PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A man is dead after being struck and killed by a drunken driver in Passaic County, officials said.
On Sunday, around 9:45 p.m., police were called to the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Trenton Avenue in Paterson on reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car.
Authorities found a man, who has yet to be identified, had been run over by a Toyota RAV4, according to officials. The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Behind the wheel was Roniel Arias, 25, of Paterson, investigators say. He was charged with driving under the influence.
The investigation is underway, and Arias could face additional charges as it unfolds.
