Eagles Star Serves Breakfast To Fans At Cherry Hill McDonald's (patch.com) — Football fans in Cherry Hill got a special midweek treat when Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith stopped by the McDonald's on Kaighns Avenue to serve free hotcakes and coffee. The visit, tied to his partnership with local franchise owners, highlighted community charity efforts as supporters lined up early to meet him before the team's upcoming London game.
   

2. Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey marks Oct. 7 with commemoration, art installation (jewishvoicesnj.org) — A new permanent-style art installation at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill now honors the long campaign to bring home hostages from the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks. Created by Cherry Hill artist Stacey Beerman Rivkin, it weaves together donated tags, shirts, and symbols from local advocacy, offering a public space where South Jersey residents can reflect, remember, and teach future generations.
   

3. A South Jersey emergency department has lost veteran doctors and staff over its new contract (inquirer.com) — Longtime emergency physician Al Sacchetti and much of his team are leaving Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden after a staffing-contract change, raising concerns about lost experience. Sacchetti, who volunteers at the Cherry Hill Free Clinic and has treated many local first responders, will continue practicing part time in Vineland while Camden's ER adjusts to new management and contracts.
   

4. Students for Justice in Palestine to mark Oct. 7 with campus vigil at Rowan University (jewishvoicesnj.org) — A community-wide October 7 remembrance is planned at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill, featuring reflection, a memorial candle display, and a new commemorative artwork. Local Jewish organizations are coordinating several events in Voorhees and Cherry Hill to honor victims, support hostages' families, and encourage acts of kindness in response to rising antisemitism and campus protests.
