East Hanover Program Has A Bone To Pick With Osteoporosis
A free information session introduces residents to a 24-week program focused on strength, balance and flexibility.
EAST HANOVER, NJ — A program is helping residents build stronger bones and improve their balance through exercise.
The East Hanover and Roseland health departments will hold an information session for Project Healthy Bones members from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, October 5, at the Tom Rinaldi Recreation Building in Lurker Park.
The 24-week exercise and education program is open to East Hanover and Roseland residents who have osteoporosis or are at risk. It uses strength and balance exercises targeting larger muscle groups to improve strength, flexibility and stability.

The program begins Monday, October 19, and requires a 24-week commitment. Participants must provide a physician’s release to take part in the program. Residents can register for the information session by calling the East Hanover Health Department at 973-888-6035.
