• Edison To Host Free Splash Park Celebration Sept. 5 (patch.com) — Families in Edison can look forward to a free Splash Park Celebration on Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 100 Municipal Blvd. The township is offering music, games, giveaways, and free Italian ice for the first 150 attendees, making it a lively way to wrap up the season close to home.
   

• Edison Board of Education To Appoint New High School Principal (patch.com) — Edison High School is set to welcome a new principal, as the Board of Education plans to appoint current Thomas Jefferson Middle School assistant principal James Falco on August 25. Superintendent Edward Aldarelli praised Falco's student-centered, hands-on leadership and says he'll spend the coming weeks meeting Edison students, families, and staff to prepare for the 2026-27 school year.
   

• The Humble Toast Sportstar Of the Week: MC Lieblich (jewishlink.news) — An Edison teen, MC Lieblich, has been named The Jewish Link and The Humble Toast's Sportstar of the Week for his standout play and sportsmanship. The Heichal HaTorah rising junior is praised for encouraging teammates, respecting opponents, and carrying that same kindness and humility into everyday life, earning him both recognition and a small local reward.
