The Sharing Network Foundation Announces Election of New Board Officers (njbmagazine.com) — Freehold resident Ron Oswick has transitioned to Immediate Past Chair of the Sharing Network Foundation's Board, continuing to guide New Jersey's leading organ and tissue donation nonprofit. Alongside new officers from around the state, he'll mentor trustees, support fundraising, and honor his wife's longtime heart transplant journey while helping expand lifesaving donation awareness and services.
   

2. Healy added as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Penn (whoopdirt.com) — A Freehold native, Kaity Healy, has been hired as an assistant coach for the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team, continuing a fast-rising collegiate coaching career. The former Seton Hall guard brings experience from St. John's, American, FDU, FIU, and Holy Cross, and is praised for her energy, recruiting skills, and commitment to student-athletes on and off the court.
   

3. Hillsborough High School Ranked #73 in New Jersey by US News & World Report (tapinto.net) — Freehold's Biotechnology High School earned a standout spot in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings, placing 72nd nationally among high schools. While the main focus is Hillsborough's ranking, the report highlights Biotech's project-based, research-driven curriculum as part of New Jersey's strong showing of specialized STEM academies that give local students competitive academic options.
   

4. In Red Bank, Pallone, Activists Press for Immigration Reform (tworivertimes.com) — Freehold is cited alongside Long Branch and other Monmouth County towns as seeing the same level of ICE activity that has residents and advocates alarmed. A Red Bank panel led by Rep. Frank Pallone condemned conditions at Newark's Delaney Hall detention center, called for stricter limits on ICE enforcement tactics, and pushed for a broader pathway to citizenship for long-term undocumented residents.
