Mom Saves Daughter From Ex-Boyfriend's Assault: Atlantic Co. Prosecutor
The woman was being dragged into a vehicle by her ex-boyfriend, but her mother stopped him, authorities said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A Pennsylvania man admitted to brandishing a knife and trying to drag his former girlfriend into his vehicle, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
On Sept. 28, 2025, Atlantic City police went to Adriatic Avenue for the report of a person being dragged into a vehicle.
A woman was being dragged into a Chrysler 300 with a Pennsylvania registration by her ex-boyfriend, Lucas Moran of Dunmore, PA, authorities said.

The woman said that Moran brandished a knife, but she was able to escape, according to officials.
Her mother had prevented Moran from dragging her back into the vehicle, authorities said.

Moran got back inside the vehicle and fled towards Absecon Boulevard, officials said.
New Jersey State Police stopped Moran on the Atlantic City Expressway. A foldable knife was found on Moran's person, officials said.
Moran pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim. He faces five years in New Jersey State Prison.
