• Hillsborough Plans Scarecrow Festival Family Fun Awards Ceremony (patch.com) — Families in Hillsborough can look forward to a free Scarecrow Festival Family Fun Awards Ceremony on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Municipal Complex, featuring scarecrow displays, kids' activities, and a live DJ. Residents and visitors can view the scarecrows all month and vote via QR codes, with Mayor Catherine Payne and the Township Committee presenting awards during the celebration.
   

• Football: Union Cruises Past Hillsborough, 42-13 (tapinto.net) — Hillsborough football fans saw the hometown team fall 42–13 to Union in Friday night's matchup on their own field. Union's Jamir Hall and Elijah Bryant combined for six touchdowns, building a big halftime lead that Hillsborough couldn't overcome, as Union improved to 4–1 and extended its winning streak heading into next week's game.
