• Mosquito Control Treatment Planned In Hazlet & Holmdel: See Where (patch.com) — Holmdel residents are being notified about early-morning mosquito control spraying after West Nile virus activity was detected in both Holmdel and Hazlet. Truck-mounted ULV sprayers will treat specific neighborhood blocks, and officials outline simple steps residents can take to reduce exposure and cut down mosquito breeding around their homes.
   

• Holmdel High School Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists (patch.com) — Two Holmdel High School seniors, Leon Du and Kim Hong, have been named semifinalists in the prestigious 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program, placing them among the top 1 percent of U.S. students. They'll now submit detailed applications, test scores, and recommendations as they compete for part of $24 million in scholarships to be awarded next spring.
