Saint Dominic Academy Announces New Head Soccer Coach

JERSEY CITY, NJ – Saint Dominic Academy proudly announces the hiring of Jaime Manjarres as its new Head Soccer Coach. Manjarres brings nearly two decades of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels and a strong background in goalkeeper training and team development.

A Jersey City native, Manjarres is excited to return home and start building the program.

Manjarres spent seven years, from 2005 to 2012, as Head Coach of the boys' varsity soccer team at Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey, overseeing program development. In 2012, he served as Head Coach of the boys' varsity soccer team at M.E.T.S. Charter High School, emphasizing tactical growth and team culture.

At the collegiate level, Manjarres served as Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach at New Jersey City University from 2010 to 2011, contributing to goalkeeper and team training for the men's soccer program. From 2013 to 2022, he was Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for Kean University men's and women's soccer NCAA Division III program.

Manjarres has coached with several respected youth programs, including the Tribeca Travel Team (NY Cosmos), Red Bulls Clinics, and the Tab Ramos Soccer Program. He has continued his professional development through specialized training in the United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.

Manjarres holds a USSF "C" Coaching License, a Scottish FA Goalkeeper Level III Certification, and a UEFA Goalkeeper B License. He is also CPR/AED certified and holds an associate degree in Graphic Design from the Center for the Media Arts in New York.
