• Guitar Great Les Paul's Family Furious Over Demolition Of NJ Home (patch.com) — Mahwah residents are reacting after the former Deerhaven Road mansion of guitar pioneer and longtime Mahwah resident Les Paul was sold and demolished without his family being notified. His son Gene, who grew up and learned the music business in the Mahwah home, is publicly criticizing the handling of the sale and calling for at least a roadside plaque, while the Les Paul Foundation says it carefully preserved artifacts and notes zoning prevented a public museum. The Mahwah Museum continues to honor Paul with a permanent exhibit and annual birthday celebrations.
   

• Man Sexually Assaulted Seatmate On Bus On Route 17, Police Say (patch.com) — Mahwah police say a woman reported being sexually assaulted by a fellow passenger on a southbound Route 17 bus Sunday night, leading to the arrest of a Delaware man. Officers stopped the bus in Mahwah after the distressed rider flagged them down, and the suspect now faces criminal sexual contact and false imprisonment charges in Superior Court.
