• Public hearing planned on impact of new bridges (starnewsgroup.com) — A major $30 million project to replace three aging bridges linking Manasquan and Brielle, including the historic Glimmer Glass Bridge, is moving forward, and you're invited to weigh in. An environmental assessment hearing will be held Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. at Manasquan Borough Hall, where residents can comment on construction impacts, safety improvements, and design plans before work begins in 2029.
   

• Manasquan girls soccer scores early to beat Marlboro (nj.com subscription) — Manasquan High School's girls soccer team picked up a strong road win, edging Marlboro 2-1 after rallying from an early deficit. Lexie Liebler had a goal and an assist, Brooke Mack scored the winner, and goalkeeper Madeline Petrulla's seven saves helped Manasquan improve to 9-3 on the season.
