The funding comes as part of a broader Monmouth County program supporting 27 park and recreation projects across multiple towns.

3. New Jersey's 'Drone Ranger' Uses Thermal Drones to Rescue Missing Pets for Free (hypefresh.com) — A Manasquan restaurant owner known as the "Drone Ranger" is using thermal-imaging drones to help New Jersey families, especially seniors, find missing pets at no charge. Through his nonprofit Unmanned Search and Rescue Drone Team, he and volunteers have reunited more than a hundred animals with owners, while also training veterans for civilian drone careers.
   

4. Former Vol Andrew Fischer Racks Up Two Awards After Historic Minor League Season (rockytopinsider.com) — Manasquan native Andrew Fischer just completed a historic minor league baseball season, leading all of minor league ball with 48 home runs and earning two national player-of-the-year honors. The Wall Township High School alum and Brewers prospect is emerging as one of the organization's top power hitters after a standout college career at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Duke.
