The nor'easter's 70–80 mph winds, heavy rain, and severe beach erosion are disrupting travel, threatening homes, and leaving nearby communities like Sea Bright to assess business damage, road closures, and long-term shoreline recovery needs.

Turning the Tide: No. 11 Middletown South Rallies Past No. 12 Manasquan for Third Straight Win (shoresportsinsider.com) — A hard-fought football matchup at Vic Kubu Warrior Field saw Middletown South edge Manasquan 21-17 in muddy conditions, despite a standout 174-yard, two-touchdown performance from Warriors running back Dax Klein. Manasquan briefly led twice, but a late 79-yard kickoff return and two key defensive takeaways sealed the result. The Warriors now hit their bye week before visiting Freehold Township.
   

3. NJ Gov. Mikie Sherrill shares update as nor'easter moves through NJ (pix11.com) — Manasquan is among the Jersey Shore communities seeing significant flooding as a nor'easter drives water higher with each tide, prompting a state of emergency in parts of New Jersey. Governor Mikie Sherrill is urging residents to stay off the roads, as dozens of people have already been rescued from flooded vehicles and utility crews work to restore power to thousands statewide.
   

4. Nor'easter brings flooding, power outages, and a death to the East Coast (wgal.com) — In Manasquan, floodwaters are still creeping toward homes even as the nor'easter's winds ease, leaving garages at risk and making it hard for cars to safely pass through deeper spots. Officials are warning drivers in low vehicles to be cautious as high tide approaches, while residents across the region begin cleaning up downed limbs and dealing with lingering power outages.
