1 Hurt In Montclair House Fire, Quick Action Limits Damage To Home: Authorities
A blaze in the kitchen on the first floor had spread into the walls of the home by the time firefighters arrived, authorities said.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — A person was injured during a house fire on Orange Road in Montclair on Thursday, authorities said.
According to the Montclair Fire Department, a blaze in the kitchen on the first floor had spread into the walls of the home by the time firefighters arrived.
Firefighters quickly extinguished all visible flames and opened the walls to locate and put out the remaining fire, helping to limit damage to the home, authorities said.

There was one reported civilian injury and no reported firefighter injuries, the fire department said.
The MFD investigation unit is looking into the cause of the fire, authorities said.
