The Montclair Literary Festival and Montclair Public Library’s Open Book Open Mind present bestselling author Christina Baker Kline in conversation with her friend and colleague Alice Elliott Dark (Fellowship Point) about Kline’s new novel The Foursome.
The Foursome is a boldly original reimagining of the astonishing true story of two sisters in nineteenth-century North Carolina — Kline’s own distant relatives — who married world-famous conjoined twins from Siam.
Spanning five decades and unfolding against the backdrop of a fractured nation hurtling toward war, The Foursome is both intimate and epic. With piercing insight and emotional precision, Christina brings to life a forgotten chapter of American history.
Tickets to hear Christina in person are $35 and include a signed copy of The Foursome. Christina will be signing books after the talk.
The event will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair, 67 Church St, Montclair. Buy tickets here bit.ly/MLF-Four.
