Watchung Booksellers Hosts Alice Elliott Dark for New Release of In the Gloaming

Watchung Booksellers welcomes author Alice Elliot Dark for the release of a special stand-alone edition of her story, In the Gloaming, with a discussion and reception on Thursday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m.

Chosen as a Best Short Story of the 20th Century by John Updike, In the Gloaming depicts a loving mother, Janet, caring for her adult son, Laird, in the last months of his life during the early AIDS era. This addition to the Scribner Shorts Collection also contains a new afterward by the author.
