Greenhouse Fire Nearly Sets Montclair Home Ablaze, Authorities Say
Montclair firefighters arrived to find an attached greenhouse at the rear of the house ablaze.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair firefighters put out a blaze at a greenhouse attached to a local home last weekend, authorities say.
According to the Montclair Fire Department, firefighters responded to Grove Street at 2:36 p.m. on Sunday.
Firefighters arrived to find an attached greenhouse at the rear of the house ablaze. The crew put out the main body of the fire, then opened walls to find – and extinguish – any remaining flames.

The swift action from firefighters prevented any further damage and saved the home, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.

The MFD investigation unit is probing the cause of the fire, authorities said Monday.
