3. Middlesex College Celebrates Construction Milestone of the Nayan and Bindu Dalal Center for the Arts (tapinto.net) — Middlesex College is moving ahead with major renovations to its Nayan and Bindu Dalal Center for the Arts, a project that will benefit students and residents who use the college's New Brunswick center as well as the main Edison campus. Backed by a $2 million Dalal Family Foundation gift, the upgraded venue will feature a modernized lobby, theater improvements, and enhanced community arts space when it opens in 2027.

Rutgers, Race & The Hardenbergh Legacy (newyorkalmanack.com) — New Brunswick's own Rutgers University is traced here from its 1766 founding as Queen's College in town, through its deep ties to slavery, the Revolution, and Dutch Reformed leaders like the Hardenbergh family. The piece also follows notable Black alumni and later architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, showing how New Brunswick's college shaped, and was shaped by, America's racial history.
   

5.
