Wallaby Escapes From Cape May County Zoo: Officials

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ — A wallaby escaped from the Cape May County Zoo Tuesday, sparking a multi-agency search.

The search is underway Tuesday morning in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, with zoo officials, Middle Township police and the Cape May County Sheriff's Office involved.

"If you happen to encounter it, please, do not approach, give the animal space and dial 911," the sheriff's office said.

More information is expected to be released by the sheriff's office later.
