ICE Arrests In Parsippany Prompt Concerns From Residents (patch.com) — Residents in Parsippany are voicing alarm after masked ICE agents arrested several people outside local Lake Hiawatha businesses, including Tierra Encanto and Vape World. At a packed council meeting, Mayor Pulkit Desai stressed that the township had no advance notice, is working to identify those detained, and is focused on helping affected families understand their rights and locate loved ones.

2. Parsippany Senior Home Catches Fire, Prompts Evacuation (patch.com) — A fire at the Brookside Senior Center on Parsippany Boulevard forced an evacuation this week, leaving one fifth-floor resident homeless and another temporarily relocated because of water damage. No injuries from the fire were reported, but two residents were taken to the hospital for unrelated issues, and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Parsippany arson investigator.

Chiller Theatre Expo Brings Horror and Sci-Fi Stars to Parsippany October 30 to November 1, 2026 (shopmorriscounty.com) — Horror and sci‑fi fans in Parsippany can catch the Chiller Theatre Expo Halloween weekend at the Dolce by Wyndham Parsippany on Smith Road, the former Sheraton. The three-day convention features celebrity signings, collectibles vendors, cosplay with strict prop rules, and tiered ticket options, plus free hotel parking and overflow parking nearby.

Fourth quarter rally lifts Morris Hills football past Parsippany Hills (nj.com subscription) — Parsippany Hills football saw a late 13-3 lead slip away in Morris Plains as Morris Hills stormed back with two fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns to win 17-13. Despite a strong defensive effort and a blocked-punt touchdown by Logan Wilson, the Vikings' two-game win streak ended, dropping them to 4-3 on the season.
