Actor Danielle Moné Truitt shares how she's preparing for the role of Berniece and why the story's themes of family, legacy, and grief resonate so deeply. Tickets are on sale now for local theatergoers.
   

4. No legend, no problem. N.J. football team shows off new stars in 2ns-straight win (nj.com subscription) — Red Bank Regional's football team took a tough 48–7 loss to Holmdel on Thursday at home in Little Silver, managing just 86 total yards and seven rushing yards. Holmdel spread the scoring across returning contributors and several sophomores, including a pick‑six and blocked‑punt touchdown. For Bucs fans, it's an early-season setback that highlights where the offense and defense must quickly improve.
