Comics, Gaming and Cosplay Highlight Red Bank Pop Culture Festival (tapinto.net) — Downtown Red Bank will turn into a pop culture hub next Saturday, Sept. 19, when the Red Bank Pop Culture Festival brings comics, gaming, cosplay, and family-friendly fun from noon to 4 p.m. Organizers are also inviting local vendors and sponsors, giving Red Bank businesses, artists, and creators a chance to showcase their work and tap into a growing fan crowd.
   

2. Red Bank Marks 25th Anniversary of September 11 with Riverside Gardens Ceremony (tapinto.net) — Red Bank residents gathered at Riverside Gardens Park yesterday morning to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a solemn ceremony honoring nearly 3,000 victims, including two locals. Borough officials, clergy, students, and longtime residents shared reflections, music, and prayers, continuing a long-standing Red Bank tradition of remembrance and community unity at the riverside memorial site.
   

3. Lukas Peter Sprauer (themonmouthjournaleastern.com) — Family and friends in the Red Bank–Shrewsbury area are mourning 25-year-old Lukas "Luke" Sprauer, a Red Bank Regional High School alum who died after a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at John E. Day Funeral Home on Riverside Avenue in Red Bank, where loved ones will gather to celebrate his life and share memories.
   

4. Red Bank Catholic boys soccer finds late game-winner to best Long Branch (nj.com subscription) — Red Bank Catholic's boys soccer team stayed unbeaten at 3-0 with a dramatic 78th-minute winner in a 3-2 home victory over Long Branch in Red Bank. Junior Cathel McStravick scored all three RBC goals, while keeper Luke Howarth added two saves and an assist in the Shore Conference matchup.
   

5. Red Bank man gets 20 years for deadly Lakewood crash (news12.com) — A 43-year-old Red Bank man has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison for a 2025 Lakewood crash that killed a woman and an 11-year-old girl. Prosecutors said he was driving about 60 mph, high on alcohol and cocaine, when he crossed the double yellow line and hit another car head-on.
