NJ Man Broke Into Home, Exposed Himself To Child, Prosecutor Says

RED BANK, NJ — A New Jersey man has been accused of entering a
stranger’s home while nude from the waist down and exposing himself to a child in her upstairs bedroom, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.

Ernesto Lozano-Zane, 23, of Red Bank has been charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and lewdness, a disorderly persons offense, Santiago said.

Lozano-Zane was arrested and charged following an incident that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, when Little Silver police responded to a home on a report of an unknown subject who had entered the house.

Once officers arrived, police encountered a homeowner on the front lawn outside, restraining Lozano-Zane and preventing him from leaving the scene.

An investigation found that Lozano-Zane had entered the home through an unlocked front door and went upstairs to a bedroom occupied by a child, who alerted the rest of her family to the man’s presence, Santiago said.

Lozano-Zane’s clothing and other personal items were later found in another bedroom of the home.

Lozano-Zane was taken into custody at the scene pending future proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court.

A detention hearing is tentatively scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
