NJ Man Hospitalized After Being Struck By Teen Driver: Police
The man was crossing a Bergen County intersection when he was struck, police said.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A 76-year-old man was taken to the hospital on Wednesday after being struck by a car in a Hackensack intersection, police said.
The 18-year-old driver, from Elmwood Park, received a summons, said Deputy Chief Greg Zisa.
Zisa said that police headed to the intersection of River Street and University Plaza Drive around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday after getting a report of a pedestrian who'd been hit.

Zisa said the driver was turning left onto River Street when he struck the Hackensack man, who was in the crosswalk.
The man was taken to Hackensack Medical Center with injuries to his head and back, but they were not believed to be life-threatening, Zisa said.

The teen was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian, Zisa said.
