NJ Man, 85, Dies In Garage Fire While Working On Truck, Police Say
Police said the fire started in a detached garage, and the 85-year-old man later died at Hackensack Medical Center.
WOODCLIFF LAKE, NJ — An 85-year-old Woodcliff Lake man died after a fire in a detached garage Saturday.
Raymond Stupienski was identified as the fatal victim, according to Woodcliff Lake Police Captain Chad Malloy.
At 11:33 a.m., a fire started in a detached garage on Campbell Avenue in Woodcliff Lake.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Arson Squad determined "the cause of the fire as an accidental ignition while working on his truck," said Malloy.
Stupienski was flown by medivac helicopter to Hackensack Medical Center after the fire.

The Medical Examiner's Office said Stupienski died from his injuries at 8:51 p.m. on Saturday.
The Woodcliff Lake Fire Department extinguished the fire.
