Library Talk: Understanding AI

AI seems to be everywhere these days—but should we fear it, or embrace it?

Join us at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Thursday, September 17th at 7:00pm for a talk by Evan Koblentz, who will address both sides of the debate.

In everyday terms, he'll explain what the term artificial intelligence actually means, where it came from, and why it's a big deal right now. You'll learn what AI can do for you—and what it does for big companies.

Evan Koblentz is a science writer and historian of computing, based at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
