• Registration Is Open for Scotch Plains Recreation's Fall Senior Yoga Program (tapinto.net) — Scotch Plains seniors 55+ can now register for the town's Fall Senior Yoga classes, running Mondays and Wednesdays from Sept. 14 to Nov. 23 at the Towne House in Green Forest Park. Residents pay $50, non-residents $60, and must register via Community Pass by Sept. 11 and bring their own mat.

• Congregation Beth Israel Announces New Executive Director and New Director of Education (tapinto.net) — Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains has welcomed Lesley Lewkowicz as its new executive director and Suzan Chaiklin as its new director of education ahead of the High Holidays and Religious School. The egalitarian Conservative synagogue at 18 Shalom Way serves families from Scotch Plains, Fanwood, Westfield, and nearby towns with worship, education, and inclusive community programs.
