Man Stole Car From Secaucus Hotel Parking Lot, Police Say

Just after midnight April 11, Secaucus Police were called to the Extended Stay hotel for a guest who reported their car was stolen.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A car was stolen from the parking lot of a Secaucus hotel on April 11, said police.

Just after midnight April 11, Secaucus Police were called to the Extended Stay hotel on Meadowlands Parkway for a guest who reported their 2014 Nissan N20 was stolen from the parking lot.

Wallington Police located the Nissan at 8:24 a.m. that same day on Main Avenue in that town.

Secaucus Police detectives launched a follow-up investigation and identified Jonathan Montoya, 36 of Wallington, as the suspect.

Secaucus Police arrested him Thursday and charged him with one count of motor vehicle theft. He's currently being held at the Hudson County Jail.
