• South Brunswick Reminds Families Of New Cell Phone Ban Ahead Of School Year (patch.com) — Families in South Brunswick are being reminded that New Jersey's new bell-to-bell cell phone ban will be in full effect when the 2026-27 school year begins, limiting student device use throughout the day. Superintendent Bernard F. Bragen Jr. outlined the rules, noted limited exemptions, and shared the district's new theme, while promising more school-specific details before classes start on Sept. 3.

NJ expands appointments to three more locations (njherald.com) — South Brunswick is one of several New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission locations now offering REAL ID appointments, alongside newer sites like Wallington, Hazlet, and Turnersville. Residents who still need a compliant ID for domestic air travel can book appointments online, as the MVC expands capacity to cut wait times statewide.
   

• Greater Middlesex Conference releases new alignments for 2027 baseball season with few changes (cjsportsradio.com) — South Brunswick baseball will remain in the GMC White Division for 2027, as the Greater Middlesex Conference makes only a few realignment changes across its schools. While teams like JFK, Piscataway Magnet, and East Brunswick Magnet move divisions, South Brunswick keeps its current slate of White Division rivals for next season's schedule.
