Learn CPR & Choking Response In South Brunswick Class This October
The squad's basic course covers adult, child and infant CPR, choking and AED use.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad is holding a "Family and Friends CPR Class" in October for South Brunswick residents who want to learn basic lifesaving skills.
The class will be held at the Water & Sewer Building on Friday, Oct. 23, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the squad.
The class does not certify attendees in CPR. The squad described it as a basic course that gives participants general knowledge of CPR for infants, children and adults, plus choking response and how to use an AED.

The cost is $20 per person. The squad said the fee is a donation to the first aid squad.

- Adult hands-only CPR and AED use
- Adult CPR with breaths
- How to help a choking adult, for both mild and severe airway blocks
- Child CPR and AED use
- How to help a choking child, for both mild and severe airway blocks
- Infant CPR
- How to help a choking infant, for both mild and severe airway blocks
- How to recognize a heart attack or stroke, and what to do first.
