California Pair Sentenced to 7 Years in State Prison for Armed Point Pleasant Home Burglary (lakewoodalerts.com) — Two suspects in an armed Point Pleasant home burglary were tracked down and arrested in Toms River, and have now each been sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison. Prosecutors say the pair forced their way into a Barton Avenue home, stole items, and one fired a shot before fleeing. Both were captured the same day in Toms River and have remained jailed since.
   

2. Hit and Run Tragedy: Baby Killed in New Jersey Parking Lot (jfeed.com subscription) — A Toms River woman has been charged with allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle involved in a Jackson parking lot crash that killed an 8‑month‑old boy and seriously injured his mother and sister. Authorities say both women charged remain in custody at the Ocean County jail. The community is rallying with prayers for the injured family members as they recover.
   

3. Leor Moshe admits $47M NJ fraud scheme targeting Orthodox Jews (palivingnews.com) — A Toms River resident, Leor Moshe, has admitted in federal court to running a multimillion‑dollar Ponzi-style fraud that took more than $47 million from nearly 100 investors. Prosecutors say he used his Lakewood-based company to lure largely inexperienced investors with promises of huge returns, then used new money to pay old investors and cover personal debts. He faces a possible lengthy prison term and heavy fines at sentencing in December.
