North Jersey Pharmacy Broken Into, Meds Stolen, Police Say

The burglar, or burglars, shattered the pharmacy's front door to get in, officials say.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Police are investigating the smash-and-grab burglary of a Passaic County pharmacy, authorities said.

On Wednesday, around 4:30 a.m., police were called to Lakeview Pharmacy in Clifton after a security alarm went off.

Authorities learned that the pharmacy's front glass was shattered and observed signs that medication had been stolen from the shelves.

Police added that management was still assessing the inventory to determine the type and quantity of stolen items, but "medication appears to have been the intended target."

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday afternoon.
