North Jersey Teen Seriously Injured In E-Scooter Crash, Cops Say

The teenager was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A teenager was seriously injured in Passaic County on Friday after crashing his e-scooter, police said.

Just after 12 p.m., Clifton police were called to the intersection of Madison Avenue and First Street on reports of a crash.

Authorities learned that a 17-year-old collided with a car at the intersection.

The teenager suffered "serious injuries" and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
