Westfield Marching Band's Shako Day Fundraiser Returns Downtown (patch.com) — Downtown Westfield will host the high school marching band's annual Shako Day fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19, with students collecting donations in their signature hats. Community members can support the band in person during set hours or donate via Venmo, helping fund opportunities and resources for Westfield's marching band season.

'We Are Getting There,' Westfield Superintendent Says of Network Restoration Thursday (tapinto.net) — Westfield Public Schools are steadily restoring technology after a weeklong network outage, with staff WiFi now working in all buildings and labs and teacher access largely back online. Local families can take pride as these students move on to the finalist round, where academic records, activities, leadership, and test scores will determine who ultimately earns scholarships next spring.

Who Made Westfield High School 4th Marking Period Honor Roll for 2025-26 (tapinto.net) — Westfield families can now see which Westfield High School students earned Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll for the fourth marking period of the 2025–26 year. The school recognizes teens across all four grades who maintained strong GPAs with no grades below a B, highlighting hundreds of local students' academic achievements.

New Jersey Cross Country Rewind - 8/31 - 9/6 (milesplit.com) — Westfield High School's boys cross-country team opened the season strongly at the Oak Ridge Invitational, finishing second to powerhouse Union Catholic, 58–19. Junior Lincoln Staiger led the Blue Devils with a runner‑up time of 10:31, breaking up Union Catholic's front pack as statewide meets like Cherokee Challenge and Run the Night showcased emerging New Jersey distance talent.
