Con Edison has cleared the campus, all students and staff are safely back in their buildings, and district and local officials are being praised for their coordinated emergency response.
   

• Thousands of Native Plant Seeds to Be Given Away at Free Seed Event (riverjournalonline.com) — Bedford residents can pick up thousands of free native plant seeds at the Bedford Hills Community House on Sunday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gardening experts will be on hand to help you choose species and learn seed-starting techniques, and you're welcome to bring locally collected seeds to share, though it's not required.
