BROOKLYN, NY —A New York City Housing Authority worker was killed over the weekend after a tree fell on him in East New York. The 56-year-old worker was walking through a parking lot near 700 Euclid Ave. when he was struck by the tree around 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26. The man was taken to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The worker has since been identified as Leighton Brown. An investigation remains ongoing.
