• Mattituck tops rival Center Moriches in emotional season opener (timesreview.com) — Center Moriches boys soccer fell 3–1 to rival Mattituck in an intense Suffolk League VI season opener, part of a 90-year-old rivalry that still runs hot. The Red Devils briefly pulled within a goal late, but Mattituck's defense and a late insurance score sealed the result, giving Center Moriches an early-season test against one of its toughest opponents.
