• LI Man Drove On Drugs, Crashed Into Deer Park Home, Had Gun: Police (patch.com) — Residents of Deer Park woke early Sunday to a frightening scene when a car driven by a 19-year-old Amityville man ran a stop sign and slammed into a home on Nicholls Road. No one inside was hurt, but police say they later found a handgun and high-capacity magazine, leading to impaired driving and weapons charges with arraignment set in Central Islip.
